After a good day of travel (flights without any delays/problems, polite people, even got a meal!! I like Sun Country!), we are back in Wisconsin -- and  overall, I really do have to say that it's nice to be home, even if it feels a little weird because I've never actually stayed at my in-laws' house before.  They are wonderful accommodating people ( Read more... )

Same insanity at work today, and that's all I'm going to say -- though I think things are wrapping up fairly well before I jet off to Wisconsin.  I came home with another migraine, told Husband that I really couldn't go shopping with him tonight, so the plan is tomorrow night (in addition to all of the other last-minute stuff).  *sigh*  Busy me.

Two more work days to go this week... repeat, repeat, repeat.  We've gotten through the first two short-staffed days fairly well (at least all the patients got seen, and I had some kind of sustenance for lunch in 5-10 minute increments), so it's the next two to go, and I know that they're going to go really quickly.  I'm also cognizant of the fact ( Read more... )

Happy because: Alton Brown is covering Fruitcake on "Good Eats".  And he got a haircut.  And my day was pretty decent considering all of the work drama.  And my joints don't hurt today.  And it's one day closer to going HOME!

One day closer to the holidays and flying home, whee!  Today I got a White chocolate truffle, had a decent day at work, made stuffed pork chops for dinner, and now am watching Anthony Bourdain spill the secret of good tasting vegetables: drown them in butter & sugar!
